Here are more details of your Tai-chi class.
- You will feel pleasantly energised after this class though possibly in the early stages, your legs may feel a little tired, depending on your fitness
- Flexibility is not important in this class. Much more it is about connecting to quality of movement and of posture and alignments.
- There will be total concentration so elements of Vipassana Meditation awareness will be a part of your connection to your body/mind.
- Wear loose and comfortable clothing. Bring something warm if you get cold.
- You may wish to wear lighter clothing for the action part of the class and have something like a tracksuit to put over, before and after.
- Don't eat a large meal for 2 hours before the class as it will be uncomfortable.
- Have a bottle of water handy.
- Barefoot is better but if you want to have footwear then a light and thin soled pair is preferable.
The structure of the class.
- There is a warmup to prepare your body for the movements to follow.
- The main body of the class will be doing the movements and you will be on our feet the whole time.
- At the end you should feel wonderfully loose and energised!
